The Quality COMPAS is the result of a six-year research project on quality issues in the humanitarian sector. The Quality COMPAS is a Quality Assurance method which comes equipped with its own set of tools, training modules and consultancy services. These components have been designed specifically for aid agencies with the overall aim of improving services provided to crisis-affected populations. |

Several changes have been made to this version to reflect ways in which the Quality COMPAS has evolved since its launch. The relevance of the principle of achieving quality via specific questions and of the quality reference framework has been confirmed over time. Available in 3 languages.

Coming soon: Sigmah, software for managing humanitarian programmes |
Sigmah is free software for managing humanitarian organisations’ operational information, which is due to be launched officially in February 2011. It includes a broad range of functionalities for managing humanitarian projects at both headquarters and field levels. It also allows projects to be managed using the COMPAS method.
The Sigmah project is currently being run by a group of 10 NGOs.
